Do You Think Lenny Dykstra Is Clear 2nd Best Lead-Off Hitter Of All Time (Behind Ricky Henderson)?

ty cobbDo You Think Lenny Dykstra Is Clear 2nd Best Lead-Off Hitter Of All Time (Behind Ricky Henderson)?
Sorry Greg O ,

Pete Rose Hit Lead off for the Reds at that time. Morgan hit 2nd (the yrs' Rose played infield %26amp; G. Foster was in Lf), or 3rd with Griffey Sr. at #2 (the yrs. Rose was in the OF)

Since we're on the subject of Rose, he would be one of AT LEAST 5, that were better than Dykstra. Such as Brock, Kenny Loften, Bobby Bonds, Reese, Davie Lopes, Finley, Lonnie Smith, Willie Wilson,Tim Raines, Wills, Coleman.Do You Think Lenny Dykstra Is Clear 2nd Best Lead-Off Hitter Of All Time (Behind Ricky Henderson)?
I love Lenny, but he wasn't even the best lead-off man the Phillies ever had, let alone 2nd best of all time.

Lou Brock and Vince Coleman were better, as pointed out by a previous poster. I think Richie Ashburn was pretty solid, too.

One thing Lenny was very good at, though, was making a pitcher work. He used to say he took pride in making sure every one of his team mates got to see every pitch a pitcher had in his repetoire.
No. Ricky is No1 without a doubt. At No2 it has to Lou Brock. St. Louis also had Vince Coleman who wasn't too bad either. To a previos answer . Joe Morgan didn't lead off Pete Rose did and was also pretty good. He obvilusly got alot of hits, but didn't steal as many bases as the others.
As much as I appreciated what Dykstra did for my Phillies in 1993, he's not even close.
Lenny Dykstra, are you serious. There are 3 better lead off men playing right now then Dykstra: Grady Sizemore, Ichiro, and Johnny Damon. Behind Ricky could possibly be Kenny Lofton.

No I am not an Indians fan either.
Right now Jose Reyes is the best leadoff hitter in baseball, not Grady Sizemore and Johnny Damon.

Reyes combination of speed, runs, average and power make him the best in the game right now.

He has a shot this year to be the first player ever to steal 100 bases, score 100 runs and drive in 100 runs.

Dykstra was not as a good a leadoff hitter as Lou Brock, Willie Wilson, Ichiro to name a few.
No, while he was good, not great, Lenny is not the second best lead of hitter of ALL time. Maury Wills was better than Lenny, as was Hall of Famer Lou Brock. Maybe he was the second best lead off hitter of 1993, but not of all time. Ty Cobb batted 3rd and 4th, he never lead of a game.
