anger with each other? Is poise the difference between flipping your lid and raising your eyebrow?Should we steer clear of foolish discussions which lead people into the sin of?
I've answered several questions lately that became ';baby fights';. Several of the answerees were insulting each other,
even name calling. I deleted my answer and moved on Peace comes with knowing that only a fool rants and raves to win an argument. You chose the word ';Poise'; to describe a stance in these circumstances. I would'nt have thought of it but yes poise is the difference.Should we steer clear of foolish discussions which lead people into the sin of?
I stay in Senior Citizen as at our age we can discuss any topic and have no need to go outside ,,,,I only get angry when people are rude to me.
You can have a opinion with no argument, a discussion so to speak. Some of the other forums just bash to get a rise out of people, nothing intelligent is really said. It's nice in here.
Yes, I try to steer clear of anything that will lead to causing more anger, there's enough of that already. Sometimes it's just a misunderstanding, but the damage may already be done. It's often good to think before you jump in.
if you mean should we stay in the senior section and avoid the drama that is so prevalent in other sections,I would have to agree. It is too easy for me to get caught up in other people's arguments(it's the irish)and I am much better off and happier if I hang out here with the chickens.
People who know what they are talking about use logic... they may disagree, but tempers don't flare.
People who are afraid that their personal arguments will fail, that their belief system is faulty, or that they will commit suicide if someone else wins, get mad.
