If a child has lead poisoning, how long does it take for the system to clear after no longer being exposed?

I don';t think it will clear without treatment.

This child must see a Doctor. If a child has lead poisoning, how long does it take for the system to clear after no longer being exposed?
To my knowledge, the only way to leech heavy metal poisoning from one's system is khelation. The Navy began using it in the 1940s due to sailors getting lead poisoning from the lead in paint they used on the ships back then.If a child has lead poisoning, how long does it take for the system to clear after no longer being exposed?
Bring your child to a doctor. He or she will be able to answer this question and help you plan appropriate treatment. If you don't have health insurance, most cities have free or cheap clinics.
I had lead poisoning. Get to a doc and get some good antibiotics. In my case I was stabbed in the hand with a pencil. A red streak developed up my arm..following a blood vessel. It wasn't even noticed til it was halfway up...(making its way to the heart, then death), . After getting the meds, it was only a short while in clearing up.
according to how bad the dammage was, it may never clear up.
